Yeah, pretty good. Don't upset the rhythm is the one that was played quite frequently (during boundaries etc.) in the Twenty20 WC over the last few weeks (earlier single I think). Began to get a bit irritating at times.
No doubt that 20/20 is a crowd pleaser generally but some elements are a bit tedious, like playing the same snatch of the same song over and over again supposedly to work the crowd up into a frenzy. Supposedly. Pity they don't just rely on the cricket for the entertainment. Turning into Geoff Boycott here...
I'm a bit of a fan of 20/20. There were examples of batsman playing proper cricket shots (guiding the ball through two fielders) rather than slogging it (which I think happened more when 20/20 was first introduced). Though a lot of that still happens.
Can't beat a test match however! Having doubts about whether the 50-over game still works though. Where it fits in now. But I'm sure it has its advantages...
