Paris in the fifties, shot in black and white, to the accompaniment of a Miles Davis soundtrack: ticks a few boxes for me...<br /><br />Can't say I'm very familiar with Malle's other films but it was actually quite a good story, which is not often the case with New Wave stuff, I seem to think.
